Important California Quarterly Package Regulations:
 
 
Weight Limit: Per the State of California regulations, quarterly packages have a maximum weight limit of 30 pounds or 480 ounces, which includes packaging material.  If your order exceeds the 480 ounce weight limit a notification will appear on your shopping cart.  You must then remove items in order to meet the weight limit.
 
Quantity: Inmates in good standing with the state are allowed the following number of packages.  Please submit the privilege group of the inmate on each order.

Privilege Group A/B: allowed 1 package per Quarter (4 per year)
Privilege Group D: allowed 1 package per year
Privilege Group C: NO packages permitted (0 per year)
Privilege Group U: NO packages permitted (0 per year)
 
 
End of Quarter Deadlines: Many facilities have different deadlines for when end of quarter packages have to arrive to count for the quarter they were purchased in. Below are suggested deadlines to place end of quarter package orders for each facility*
Orders that are placed on or before the suggested order deadline will arrive at the facility in time for the end of the quarter.
Orders placed after the suggested order deadline will still be processed; however the order is not guaranteed to arrive at in time to meet the specific facility deadlines for end of quarter packages.

Music CD's:  Prices for music includes fees above the suggested retail price.
 
Dress Out / Parole Package Program: Union Supply offers Apparel and Accessories for paroling inmates in the back of the California Quarterly Catalog. Orders must be submitted at least 45 days prior to the release date. Orders are shipped to the facility 2 weeks before the release date.

If a package is returned to us for any reason, we will contact the purchaser to determine a resolution.  Used, abused or damaged items cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded.  All items are only covered by the manufacturer’s warranties.  Inmates must check all their items upon receipt.   If any of these items are found to be defective or damaged in shipping, they must be reported to the R&R staff and return within 30 days.  All original boxes and packing materials are required on any returned goods.  These goods will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.  Returned items that are older than 30 days will not be processed.  All merchandise that was ordered in error for any reason can be exchanged for $6.95.  All exchanges must be done within 30 days of purchase.  Merchandise must be unused and in original packaging.  Any returned merchandise that is used or not in original packaging will be returned to you.  Shipping charges are nonrefundable.  
 
NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED from 3RD party customer. Only returns coming from the facility in which the package was originally delivered will be processed. 
 
Art, Lyrics/Poem, & Recipe Contest: The art, lyrics/poem, and recipe contests are open to any inmate aged 18 years older, housed in a CDCR institution, who has at least one Union Supply package shipped to him or her at any time between July 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018.  NO 3rd party submission will be accepted.  Submissions for the contest will be accepted between July 1 2018 - October 20, 2018.  At the end of the contest period there will be three grand prize winners, one in the art work category, one in lyrics/poem category and one in the recipe category. There will also be five runners up in each category.

Clear Tunes Television Warranty Service Procedures:
Union Supply Direct offers 180 day limited warranty service on all Clear Tunes televisions.  SEE THE LIMITED WARRANTY ENCLOSED WITH YOUR PRODUCT FOR THE FULL TERMS OF YOUR WARRANTY.  To return a defective Clear Tunes television within the 180 day warranty period, contact Union Supply Direct Customer Service Department for a prepaid UPS call tag by phone at 866-404-8989 or by mail to PO Box 9018, Rancho Dominquez, CA 90224-9018.  The return package must include: (1) the defective television; (2) a copy of the original receipt, (3) all of the accessories that came with the product, and (4) your full name, inmate number, facility name and physical address (no PO Boxes are accepted). 
 
Out of Warranty Service (where applicable, 181–365 days from original date of purchase):  To return a defective Clear Tunes television within the out of warranty period, send the unit to Clear Inventions, Inc., 2320 E. 49th Street, Vernon, CA 90058.  The return package must include (1), (2), (3) and (4) above and a check payable to Union Supply Group, Inc., in the amount of $50.00 for return shipping.
 
If returned merchandise is found by Union Supply Direct or Clear Tunes, in their sole discretion, to not be defective or you do not meet all applicable requirements above, then your returned product will not be processed and the product may be returned to you.  There is no repair or replacement service available after 365 days from the date of original purchase.  SEE THE LIMITED WARRANTY ENCLOSED IN YOUR PRODUCT PACKAGING FOR THE FULL TERMS OF THE WARRANTY APPLICABLE TO YOUR CLEAR TUNES TELEVISION. 
 
RCA Television Warranty Service Procedures

Payment Methods: Orders will be accepted when accompanied by cashier’s check, money order, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Discovery).  We accept Credit/Debit cards and prepaid cards with Visa/MasterCard logos.  There will be a hold on your credit card/debit card for the amount of the order at the time the order is placed.  The hold on your card will be removed and your card will be charged at the time the package ships.  For prepaid card payments, funds are deducted from your card and placed on hold at the time the order is placed.  A positive balance must be kept in the account until the package ships at which time your card will be charged.

New Layaway Program: The Layaway Program is for friends and family only. Family and friends (“you”) can place an order with us today to activate your layaway plan. Our layaway plan provides a monthly statement that is sent to you the first of each month throughout the duration of your layaway plan. This is a free service at no additional cost to you.
 
LAYAWAY PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

PAYMENT PLAN: Each layaway installment, except for the final installment of any remaining balance due, must be at least $25.00, and you may make a maximum of three (3) payments per plan. Final payment is due at least 30 days prior to the end of the quarter for which the order is placed (i.e. Last day in February, May, August and November). Your order will be shipped when payment is made in full.
 
REFUNDS AND CANCELATIONS: If your order is not paid in full at least 30 days prior to the end of the quarter for which your order is placed, your order will be cancelled and you will be refunded all the money you have paid less a cancellation charge of $6.95. You may also cancel your order at any time prior to making your final payment for a full refund of all money paid. If, for any reason, the item becomes no longer available before the end of the layaway period, you will receive a full refund of all money paid.

Union Supply Direct Media products are classified by the California Department of Corrections as Special Purchase items so they can be ordered any time of year! Media Program items (U-TAB7, accessories and media content) should NOT be included with our regular Special Purchase items such as TV’s, radios, headphones, etc.
 
We encourage you to order any media content (music, eBooks and games) at the same time that you order your initial U-TAB7 tablet as all media content will then come PRE-LOADED on your U-TAB7! All media content ordered separately from the U-TAB7 is sent on micro SD cards for the inmate to upload.

Family & Friends:
You can order the U-TAB7, accessories and media content (music, games and eBooks) any time. Family and friends are required to order online at CaliforniaInmatePackage.com. Orders can be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! UNION SUPPLY WILL ONLY ACCEPT ORDERS FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS ONLINE. Phone orders will NOT be accepted for this program.  Make sure to confirm inmate eligibility before purchasing the U-TAB7. Inmate eligibility can change at any time and it is the customer’s responsibility to verify inmate eligibility (Level I or II and Privilege Group A or B). NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED FOR TABLETS PURCHASED FOR INELIGIBLE INMATES. Union Supply Direct accepts the following forms of payment: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal check, money order or cash payment through ACE Cash Express. Full payment must be made prior to your online order being processed.
 
Inmates:
Inmates can place orders for U-TAB7, accessories and media content (music, games and eBooks). Follow the same process as placing a Special Purchase package order. Only payments by a Facility Check will be accepted for U-TAB7, accessories and media content orders. Complete a Union Supply Media order form located in this catalog or the inmate reference guide. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE MEDIA ORDER FORM FOR PROCESSING. All media items must have the item number, quantity, description, file size and price clearly written on the order form. Similar to the ordering process for Special Purchase packages, you must submit your completed media order form to your Trust Office. The Trust Office will check the availability of your inmate funds.   After funds have been verified, the Trust Office will deduct the funds for your order out of your account.  Once approved, orders will be sent to Union Supply Direct for processing.

DELIVERY
U-TAB7, U-TAB7 accessories or media content can be ordered anytime and will be delivered daily to participating facilities. We encourage you to order any music, eBooks and games at the same time that you order your initial U-TAB7 tablet as all media content will then come PRE-LOADED on your U-TAB7! All media content ordered separately from the U-TAB7 is sent on a micro SD cards for the inmate to upload.
 
Initial U-TAB7 tablet orders come PRE-LOADED with any purchased media content, are shipped via UPS, have a $6.95 shipping fee and are delivered to the R&R Property Office for verification and distribution.
 
Orders that contain media content only will ship on Micro SD cards. SD cards will ship via US Mail, have a $1.95 shipping fee and are delivered to the Mail Room for distribution with your regular inmate mail.
 
SD CARD RECYCLE PROGRAM
DO NOT THROW YOUR SD CARDS AWAY! Inmates must utilize our SD card Recycle Program. The inmate should repackage the used SD card in its hard, clear plastic shipping case and place it into the provided POSTAGE PAID SD Card Return Envelope addressed to Union Supply Direct. You can return multiple SD cards for return in one envelope. Upon receipt of your returned SD card, we will send the inmate a coupon for a Union Supply Media SONG OF YOUR CHOICE for ONLY 1 CENT! The coupon will be your documentation that we have received back the SD card. The inmate can use the coupon or give to family or friends to use when placing the next media order for that inmate. Our 1 cent songs must be included with other regular priced media content and cannot be ordered alone. All 1 cent song sales are final. Union Supply Media is not responsible for lost coupons or coupons that are not received. Coupons do not have a cash value and are not under warranty.
 
SD CARD PROVISIONING FEE
All media content orders (such as songs, eBooks and games) placed along with your U-TAB7 order will be PRE-LOADED on to your U-TAB7 before it is shipped. No SD card provisioning fee or separate SD card shipping fee applies.
Orders for media content only have a $4.95 provisioning fee per micro SD card in addition to the price of media content ordered. SD card holds 3,800 MB of content. Please include a $4.95 provisioning fee for each SD card requested based on amount of content ordered. All prices for media content include the suggested retail price, any applicable CA state sales tax and may include other fees.  Provisioning fees are not included in the pricing of the media content. Please see chart on the media order form for details. All provisioning fees are non-refundable. Union Supply Media will provide 1 FREE replacement SD card if the card fails to download correctly. If a second replacement is requested, please include a $4.95 provisioning fee with your request.  
 
SHIPPING FEES
The shipping fee on all U-TAB7, U-TAB7 accessories and any media content ordered at the same time as your U-TAB7 is $6.95. These orders will ship UPS and be delivered to the R&R Property Office for distribution.
Future media content orders (media only, no other Media Program products such as U-TAB7 or accessories) have a $1.95 shipping fee. Media content will ship US Mail and deliver to the Mail Room for distribution with regular inmate mail. All shipping fees are non-refundable.
 
MEDIA PROGRAM RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Tablet & Accessories: Due to the customizations made just for you, all media sales are FINAL. No refunds or credits will be offered for the U-TAB7 tablet or accessories. Check your U-TAB7 and accessories upon receipt. If any of these items are found to be defective or damaged in shipping please notify your R&R or Property Room staff to arrange for the defective tablet or accessories to be returned to Union Supply for an EXCHANGE. Damaged or defective accessories must be returned within 30 days from the date of original purchase.
 
Digital Media Content: Due to the customizations made just for you, all media sales are FINAL. No refunds or credits will be offered for SD card content orders. If any media content on your SD card is defective, please send the SD card back to Union Supply Direct and indicate which media content is defective or did not transfer properly. All media content orders that are defective should be returned to Union Supply Direct in the SD card Return Envelope. All media products must come back to us directly from the facility. For security purposes, we cannot accept any products that have left the facility. You must return damaged products within 30 days from the date of original purchase.  The content will be replaced at no cost to you if Union Supply, in its sole discretion, determines that the SD card or media content was defective.  If Union Supply determines that the SD card or media content was not defective then you will not receive replacement content and will not receive a refund.
 
U-TAB7 RETURNS, EXCHANGES AND LIMITED WARRANTY
Due to the customizations made just for you, all media sales are FINAL. No refunds or credits will be offered for the U-TAB7 tablet or accessories.
 
Union Supply Group, Inc., d/b/a Union Supply Media (“Union Supply”) warrants the U-TAB7 Product to the Original Purchaser ONLY, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use, for ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY (180) DAYS from the date of original purchase.  THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER cosmetic damage, environmental damage (including without limitation moisture damage), products showing evidence of tampering and/or open cases, cracked or scratched screens or cases, bundled accessories which were delivered with the product, cables, head bands, ear-pads, ear-phones or damage due to software, power line surges, connection to improper power supply or settings, misuse, mishandling, improper applications, accident, acts of God, attempted repair by an unauthorized service agent, or any other factor outside of Union Supply’s direct control.  In addition, Union Supply shall have no liability to the extent a product’s failure is caused by incompatibility with other components used by the Original Purchaser.  Union Supply’s sole and maximum liability under this Limited Warranty is, at Union Supply’s sole discretion during the warranty period, to repair or replace the defective parts of the U-TAB7, or the product itself, with new or reconditioned parts or products that are functionally at least equivalent to those originally supplied.  UNION SUPPLY MAKES NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO SALES OR TRANSFERS OF PRODUCTS THROUGH UNAUTHORIZED CHANNELS.  PRODUCTS SOLD OR TRANSFERRED UNDER SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES ARE FURNISHED “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.” 
 
Union Supply Media does not offer repair services.  The Limited Warranty covers U-TAB7 defects in materials and workmanship only, subject to all of the terms and conditions stated in the full Limited Warranty that is enclosed with your U-TAB7 product packaging.
 
TO RETURN A DEFECTIVE U-TAB7 FOR WARRANTY SERVICE, contact Union Supply’s Service Representative for a prepaid shipping label at:  Union Supply Media Customer Service, phone number (866) 404-8989 or by mail at Union Supply Media Customer Service, U-TAB7 Warranty Service Representative, PO Box 9018, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90224-9018.  Only the Original Purchaser of the U-TAB7 is eligible to receive warranty service.  Send the unit and all required items in the original packaging, or a reasonable substitute to prevent damage, to the address on the prepaid shipping label.  You must include the following in the package:  (1)  A copy of your original receipt clearly showing you as the Original Purchaser with your inmate name and number and an original purchase date within the 180 day warranty period; (2) All of the accessories that came in the original packaging with the U-TAB7; (3) Your full name, inmate number, facility name and physical address (no PO Boxes are accepted); and (4) If it is between 60 and 180 days from the date of original purchase, you must include a facility check, cashier’s check or money order, payable to Union Supply Group, Inc., in the amount of $50.00 as a NON-REFUNDABLE administrative and processing fee.  If the returned U-TAB7 is found by Union Supply in its sole discretion not to be eligible for warranty service or if you do not meet requirements (1), (2), (3) and (4) above, then there will be no service and the product may be returned to you in Union Supply’s sole discretion.  There is no warranty service after 180 days from the date of original purchase.

Setting Up a Prepaid Account
The inmate’s prepaid account can be set up by an inmate or friends and family.  However, the inmate shall be the sole account holder.  Inmates can use their prepaid account to purchase Quarterly Packages, Special Purchase Orders, Dress Out, Music CD’s or Media orders. 
 
Special Purchase
For Special Order items, inmates can use their prepaid account anytime to order all your entertainment appliances such as televisions, cassette players, CD players, radios, typewriters and musical instruments.   
 
U-TAB7 & Media Program
Use your prepaid account to purchase your first UTAB7 as well as media content any time of year.  The Media program is classified by CDCR as a Special Purchase item which means you can order songs, eBooks or games as often as you like.  Orders with media content will be shipped via US Mail on an SD card and delivered to the Mail Room. 
 
Funding a Prepaid Account
Friends and family can fund an inmate’s prepaid account by cashier’s check or money order for free or by Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card for a service fee.  Funds will be available in the prepaid account 72 hours after the transaction is completed.  Inmates can fund their own prepaid account for free by mailing in a facility trust check (no refunds on payments made with a trust check).  There is a $25 minimum and $250 maximum per transaction.  Prepaid account balance statements will be mailed to the inmate monthly.  Funding transactions are nonrefundable except as specified below under “Refunds of Prepaid Account Balance.”

Ordering From Your Prepaid Account
Only inmates may order using their prepaid account funds, no friends and family.  To order, the inmate will simply complete a Union Supply Direct order form and check off the ‘Prepaid Account’ option under the payment method section.  The inmate will then mail the order form to Union Supply Direct and we will process your order.  The order must be mailed in a facility envelope.  For quarterly packages, please mail your order form to Union Supply Direct two (2) weeks prior to the last day of the quarter, or, order media at any time. 
 
Returns
The inmate’s prepaid account will be credited with the purchase price of any items returned to Union Supply that were purchased from the prepaid account.  Should any package be refused by the facility, the inmate’s prepaid account will be refunded.  Shipping & handling fees are not refundable.  
 
Refunds of Prepaid Account Balance
Refunds of any unused funds require a written request from the account holder (inmate) and will only be issued to the account holder after being released from the prison system.  Please wait two (2) weeks after release to send us your written request for a refund of any unused funds with a First Class stamp, and self-addressed envelope including your name and Inmate ID Number.  We will then mail you a refund check for the account balance.  Please mail your written request to:

Monthly Prepaid Account Maintenance
