As an approved vendor, we are mandated to follow the rules and regulations set forth by the California Department of Corrections.

Important California Quarterly Package Regulations:

Weight Limit: The package items cannot exceed a shipping weight of 30 lbs which equals 480 ounces.  Our calculations allow you to purchase 450 ounces of product which allows for 30 ounces of packaging.

Box Size: The package items must fit into one box.  The maximum dimensions of the box are 24" x 24" x 24" which equals 13,824 cubic inches. 

Quantity: Inmates in good standing with the state are allowed the following number of packages.  Pleas submit the privilege group of the inmate on each order.

Privilege Group A/B: allowed 1 package per Quarter (4 per year)
Privilege Group D: allowed 1 package per year (1 per year)
Privilege Group C: NO packages permitted (0 per year)
Privilege Group U: NO packages permitted (0 per year) 

Dollar Value Limit: There is currently no dollar value limit

Products: The products on this website are items which have been approved by the State of California Department of Corrections.  The shopping pages are organized into categories (food, clothing, electronics etc.) and subcategories.  You can choose an item by searching the categories OR you can type in the item number and you will be taken to the item of your choice.  If an item does not appear, it is either restricted for your particular privilege group, restricted by your particular faciity or no longer available.  If you are uncertain about the eligibility of an item, please contact us.

Returns: Please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance with any order returns at Union Supply Direct Attention:  Inmate Returns Department, P.O. Box 9018, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90224-9018 or call toll free at 866-404-8989 or send us an e-mail at customerservice@californiainmatepackage.com.  If a package is returned to us for any reason, we will contact the purchaser to determine a resolution.  Used, abused or damaged items cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded.  All items are only covered by the manufacturer’s warranties.  Please check all of your items upon receipt.   If any of these items are found to be defective or damaged in shipping, you must return these goods within 30 days.  All original boxes and packing materials are required on any returned goods.  These goods will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.  Returned items that are older than 30 days will not be processed.  All merchandise that was ordered in error for any reason can be exchanged for $5.00.  All exchanges must be done within 30 days of purchase.  Merchandise must be unused and in original packaging.  Any returned merchandise that is used or not in original packaging will be returned to you.  Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable.  TELEVISIONS:  Due to manufacturer’s return policies, Union Supply cannot replace engraved television sets.  The engraved sets must be shipped by you to the authorized manufacturer’s service center for repairs.  RCA 13” Clear Digital TV has a warranty of 90 days that includes parts and labor with a one year warranty on the picture tube.  Defective televisions returned to Union Supply Direct within the 90 days of purchase will be replaced with a new one. Defective televisions returned after the 90 days, but within the 1 month period will be replaced for a fee of $70.  All televisions that are returned must include a copy of the original sales receipt and a letter explaining the claim for defect.  A check payment of $70 payable to Union Supply Company should also be included, if within the 3 to 12 month warranty period. 

Payment Methods: Orders will be accepted when accompanied by cashier’s check, money order, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or Discovery).  We accept Credit/Debit cards and prepaid cards with Visa/Mastercard logos.  There will be a hold on your credit card/debit card for the amount of the order at the time the order is placed.  The hold on your card will be removed and your card will be charged at the time the package ships.  For prepaid card payments, funds are deducted from your card and placed on hold at the time the order is placed.  A positive balance must be kept in the account until the package ships at which time your card will be charged.  

New Layaway Program: Place your order with us today via our mail, website, fax, phone, and activate your Layaway Plan.  Make weekly, monthly payments, selecting the payment interval that best meets your needs.  Our Layaway Plan provides a monthly statement that is sent to you the first of each month throughout the duration of your layaway plan.  This is a free service at no additional cost to you.  This plan allows you the flexibility to make any payment, any amount, at anytime.  Multiple family members can pay for your order as well.

Your order will be held until full payment is made.  If the order is not paid in full within a specific program ordering period, the order will be carried over to the next program period.  Your order will ship when it is paid in full.

Sales Tax: Union Supply Direct has included sales tax into the price of taxable items.

Shipping and Handling: Shipping and handling is FREE on quarterly package internet orders over $125.00.  All other Quarterly Package orders will be charged $5.00.  Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
